ATMOSPHERE
Most of the Portrait Sessions I do are held at an outdoor location during the golden hours of either sunrise or sunset. Think the first two hours the sun is coming up or the last two when it's going down. You can still get great images through out the day but, this is the preferred time. I have some recommend locations for you to choose or you can pick out a favorite location. The most important thing for you to remember during your session is to have fun! Please feel at ease during your session. If you pressure yourself to smile, natural expressions may be lost. Many of my favorite images I capture are the “candid” shots, when you relax, smile, and laugh. I want to capture your personalities and the real you. With your kids, just let them be kids and their personalities will shine! I want to create a casual atmosphere and try to help you feel as comfortable as possible in front of my camera. You will find that I am usually a bit of a goofball in the process… I like to think I am funny. Remember we are there to have a good time!
WARDROBE
A great way to express yourself can be through your wardrobe, which is where you can have a lot of fun and I happen to love fashion! Color your photographs with your wardrobe!
Keep this in mind when choosing details for your clothing and accessories. Think layers! It's like two outfits in one! Don’t get too matchy-matchy. Play it up with mix and match fabrics, florals, and textures. This will be sure to give your photos that extra ‘pop’ that makes them stand out.
Sometimes things you might not wear normally photograph beautifully. If you do decide to go outside of your comfort zone make sure you are comfortable in the outfit(s). If your aren’t comfortable it will show in your photos.
Just keep in mind busy prints, small checkered patterns and geometric designs don’t photograph the best. You also want to avoid neon colors (as they can bounce off the skin and throw off the color) and logos. Also, you want to tie a look together by choosing a color scheme or theme/vibe i.e. purple, mustard, greens, blues, vintage, boho, or tradional... ect. AFTER THE PHOTO SHOOT
After the photo shoot you will get a sneak peek in a day or so on Instagram. I would love to hear feedback (heart it and comment) and please share! Please allow up to two weeks for your photos to be edited.

I will email you with the link to your online gallery for viewing all the photos and placing your order or download. If you would prefer a in-office or home viewing appointment where you will preview the images and choose your favorites for ordering we can schedule that. That appointment generally takes an hour or two. I will then place your order and deliver your customized photos and any additional products you’ve ordered.
